Elements like iron and manganese naturally exist in trace amounts in seawater. Through our production process these elements can oxidize or cluster together to form dark flecks. These black flecks are completely harmless.

Large fluctuations in temperature can cause the sulphates to drop out of the minerals and crystallise . Very rarely you may notice flocking which looks like a fuzzy ball or haze. This is a natural process and does not impact on the quality or safety of the product .
